Poppy Bomb - as I have always been addicted to the taste of the blue poppy seeds, I just have to make something with them every now and then and then it must be a LOT of them! 😀 And usually it is in combination with the plums, because this combo is unbeatable. And that's a fact 😀 This cake is full of healthy fats from seeds and beside of that are poppy seeds loaded with amino acids, calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, coppar and vitamin B1. What's not to like? 🙂
Ingredients the crust:
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup golden flax seeds
- 1 big apple
- 1 banana
- 1/4 whole lemon
Grind the seeds first to flour and then put all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend smooth
Pour on to a dehydrating sheet or parchment paper and dry for 8 hours on 45 degrees (115 F)
Flip over after half time and take away the sheet


- Take 2,5 cups grinded poppy seeds and mix with 1 cup full fat coconut milk, 3 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 tsp cinamon, zest from half lemon
- Let set for couple of hours in the fridge
- Blend couple of handfuls plums and spread the mixture over the crust
- Lay the poppy mixture on top of it and pack it with your hand so it sticks together nicely

Garnish with plums, sunflower seeds or raisins. Even almonds do nicely together.Â
